J. Sopp has recently been elected President of the Nassau County
Bar Association.
The local association of attorneys who practice in Nassau County,
Florida. In a recent article in the Fernandina Beach News-Leader,
local attorney Ross Germano noted, "I think it's going to
be real active under Sopp's leadership."
Each year, the Nassau County Bar Association awards a scholarship
to a Nassau County student active in the Teen Court Program; this
year's $1,000.00 scholarship went to Megan Hoobler, a graduate
of Hilliard High School. Sopp presented the award on behalf of
the assocation in May.
The association is open to any licensed attorney practicing in
Nassau County; membership has grown from six attorneys to nearly
thirty.
"We're really a professional networking group dedicated to
educating the public about legal issues," Sopp said in the
News-Leader article.
